Notes of Encouragement.

I'm currently doing some organizing in the basement today. We still had about 10 boxes still to unpack and put away. Now that we have the drawers free in the cabinet upstairs and some room in our wall unit upstairs I've been putting books and "stuff" away.

Every time I do a big organization I spend at least 30 minutes to an hour sidetracked by reading notes of encouragement, snail mail, cards that I've received and kept because they were special (I think now I should just make sure I set aside that amount of time once I embark on these missions of organizing.) Today I was reminded about how God is so gracious with me that he has placed people in my life that are very encouraging. One example is my lovely roommate from University, Ruthann, who definitely likes to show love by words of affirmation. I used to receive little notes on my bed or at my door from her all the time.

I was reminded today that words of affirmation is definitely how I receive love (reference to "the Five Love Languages"). I wonder if written out is even more special to me. I'm not sure.

I'd like to give more notes of encouragement to people (I'd also like to be better at actually saying the things I think about people to them.) This might be a good excuse for getting some pretty stationary... hmm.
